I saw this and thought "You know, that's useful! I should do that!"
[Rack Mounted Pi Server with 20x4 LCD](https://www.reddit.com/r/raspberry_pi/comments/f4g8lv/rack_mounted_pi_server_with_20x4_lcd/fi5ftr9/?context=3)
So I got the rack mount, a fresh 3D printer, and printed off a few sample Pi mounts... and saw that the rack mounting bracket wasn't going to fit, and eventually saw that the Pi's weren't fitting ether, and the faceplates were too big to boot.
Not my first go around. To Sketchup!
First you need this: [UCP Series Cable Punchout Frame Kit Frame Height: 3 1/2" H (2U space)](https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000Z7GISQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) (Amazon link)
Print two of the mounting racks. Reuse the screws they gave you, and recycle the metal mounts.
Then print the Pi "blade" mounts. They're universal for all but older Pi 1 and Zero series. (I've tested this on a Pi 1B+ and 2)
Good luck!
