Based on the construction of the Raspberry Pi 3 Microserver, I created a concept for the Raspberry Pi 4B. The Suptronics X862 for an M.2 SATA SSD was chosen as the SSD converter. Like the Raspberry Pi 4, the converter supports the USB 3.0 standard, which makes the server much faster. The brand new Case Fan Kit from the Raspberry Pi Foundation was used to cool the Raspberry Pi 4.

The casing should also works with the Suptronics X872 M.2 NVMe SSD Shield.

Initial tests have shown that transfer rates of 60MB/s are possible. The transfer rates from the RPi 4 microserver are more than three times as fast as from the RPi 3 microserver. The RPi 4 microserver can e.g. can be used as a full-fledged NAS in the home with the Open Media Vault software.

The concept is still untested!
