I wanted a way to bring the 40-pin RPi GPIO to a more accessible location on my 3D printer. The header breakout uses a ribbon cable connector that sells for USD$18 on Amazon (and less than half that on Ali): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084C69VSQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title.
The first piece provides a mount for the header breakout, and the second piece serves as either a cutout template, or a backshell to allow mounting in a rectangular hole. Your choice.
