The design has four sections and each section has six evenly space scoops. Each scoop allows the regolith to be transferred into the interior of the drum through curved channels. The interior of each section is then divided into six parts coinciding with each scoop. The channels are designed to funnel regolith to the center of the drum while the drum rotates clockwise and keep it there until the direction is reversed. When the drum rotation is reversed to counterclockwise the regolith then flows out of the channels backwards much like in the way it came in. Through the center of each section is a circular cutout which allows the pole coming off the base support to pass through each section and divider to connect them all together. The design ensures only 175 mm of scoop are excavating at one time by pairing scoops together. The first and third sections are aligned and synced as well as the second and fourth sections so that only two scoops are excavating at once. The design is made of PE high density plastic and the mass was kept to 4.7kg. According to my calculations the design has a volume of 48.4 L with an 87% fill ratio. The design also has a diameter of 450mm and a length of 360mm, all fitting within the design requirements.
