RC Airplane Replaceable Wingtip Skid

A simple, replaceable wingtip skid for RC airplanes/gliders. I put these on my new 2m sailplane which has a big main wheel and small tail wheel so I could land on our club's paved runway without messing up the underside of my wingtips.

My sailplane's wingtip is kinda thin, so I didn't cut out a recessed area in the wing, but instead just glued them right on the surface. The two mounting screws for the actual skid itself penetrate into the foam some which helps hold them in place as well. If your wing is thicker, you could recess them a bit to help hold them in place.

No issues yet, so we'll see how they hold up this summer.

I printed them in PLA, which will probably grind away pretty quickly, but I printed up a bunch of spares, so we'll see how quickly I go through 'em.

I realize some planes may warrant a skid that's much taller, so if there's interest, I'll upload some additional skid sizes.

NOTE: I printed the skid on it's side, and the base flat. I tried printing
