I needed larger wheels for an RC plane (smaller ones kept digging in) so made these.
Outer diameter of the rim is 40mm, inner is 32mm, width of foam 'tyre' 14mm. Comes in three parts, wheel centre which the (x2) wheel rims fit over.
So clean up the parts and glue one rim onto the centre, make your tyre to fit then lock it in place by gluing on the other rim. You can achieve various offsets doing this. Assembled weight at 100% infill PLA is 8g
In the photo you can see a blue piece of foam, thsi is as used in packaging of washing machines etc. same consistency as bought tyres. This bit is 15mm wide so a tight fit on the rims. Glue tyre in place if you want to, once assembled any tyre wear / damage and you may as well print a new one but could squeeze and glue another foam tyre over it. Tried to make it like a car wheel in that sense.
I have included the Freecad files so anyone with this can alter it. To change sizes you can just use a slicer. As an example wheel can be m
