I threw this together to make a quick and simple motor stand to measure thrust with different prop/battery combinations and mainly because I couldn't find one I liked enough. Please note that I simply used what I had laying around the shop.
My first attempt used a 3/8" wood dowel which would have worked fine but I remade the "feet" to accept standard 608 2RS bearings (8x22x7) since I had them and along with a length of 8mm CF tube as the pivot. Both files are uploaded.
The brace keeps the distance at what I wanted for stability and also prevents the setup to not tip forward before you start the test.
The feet have holes to allow a standard drywall screw that I was going to screw into wood and then clamp but, last minute in the design I added a slot and used a 1-1/2"x1/4" scrap of wood (see pictures) to clamp down to my workbench and it worked exceptionally well.
The height is setup perfectly to work with my Amazon kitchen scale. Its an Etekcity EKS-L422-VUS. For reference the sca
