RC Plane Tail Skid

This is a simple yet very strong tail skid for Small to Medium sized (1 - 2m or 40" - 70" wingspan) RC aeroplane. It does not have holes for screws as it may be simpler roughen the surface and glue this to your fuselage. There is a tab on the front of the skid big enough for a hole and screw and there is a cutout to allow a screw (and screwdriver clearance) further aft on the skid also.

This is designed for a Chris Foss WOT4-E and will keep the relatively long rudder from hitting the ground. For anybody flying off grass or a rough field, a tail wheel is just an excuse to go home early to repair your rudder or linkage! Over rough ground the tail bobs around enough that the rudder works fine.
