This is a set of tools to help improve the accuracy of the printer.
The z-axis square should fit tight in the slots of the base 20x40 extrusion in order to function the best and be printed with the sloped face on the printer bed. I used 4 M5 x 8mm screws and t-nuts for this tool.
The z-axis alignment tool will require M3-.5 x 12mm screws for the z-axis stepper. The idea being that the 3mm holes are tight on the motor mounting screws allowing the tool to locate the z-axis motor on the center of the z-axis extrusion. A pair of M5 x 8mm screws and t-nuts are required to secure the z-axis extrusion, and the 2 M5 screws going into the base extrusion will need to be changed out for 12mm long screws.
The y-axis alignment tool should be printed with the flat side down and requires no fasteners, thought there is a hole for a screw if permanent mounting is desired. This tool goes between the 2 plates mounted on the base extrusion to set the distance between the plates and to give some
