The cheapo reading glasses from your local pharmacy or mart often come with a cloth sleeve. I have broken two pairs of glasses in the cloth sleeve while it was in my pocket, just by the angle the glasses get when I sit down or crouch. The default glasses case you get from optometrists or the dollar store are just too bulky for me.
I designed this case as a minimalist case, so it wouldn't take up too much space in my pocket. I also made it very snug to the glasses, so they do not rattle around. Most importantly, this case protects the glasses from breaking in my pocket.
I originally thought that I'd need to line the inside of the case with felt to protect the lenses, but so far I'm not seeing any scratches with PLA.
Most glasses are trapezoidal in shape when folded, so you need to take four measurements with the glasses folded and laid down (length, width, big_height and small_height) and enter them in the code. See the highlighted comment at the top of glasses_case.py.
