"The mount for the rearview mirror on my 2014 Kia Rio broke. Of course, the mirror and its ball joint extension remained intact, and I wasn't going to pay $20 USD for a new one if I had the possibility to model the mount myself and restore its functionality.
I used a CR-10 printer, and the tolerances were a headache. However, I managed to get a satisfactory print. Installing the ball joint extension requires some pressure. I used a folded cloth to hold the mount steady and, by applying controlled pressure to the mirror, I got it to snap into the housing. This allowed it to function without any slippage, preventing the rearview mirror from losing its position while driving."
