Recoil Pad (Backstop Alternative)

Print in 85A TPU and PLA. Designed for Bambu A1. .2mm layer height generally recommended.

I have had multiple long crashouts about the insanely priced and insanely simple Backfire backstop. It is too simple to patent (it is not patented), and shouldn't cost $90. I have looked at their printer farms, and decided that they were running their business wrong. Guess what, a normal person should be able to make a backstop like theirs for the $4 it takes to make one. So here is my clone that took 2 hours to make. The basic ideas behind the design originated from backstop, but by no means do they own gyroid infill, a vaguely ovular shape with screw holes in it, or the actual design, or any of the other junk they seem to imply on their website.

I did a deep dive on how they print farm these. They are too inefficient of a company to deserve being paid. I will grant that their pads will edge out mine in terms of perfection on actual felt recoil, but only because I don't have the ability to spe
