Red Ryder Powerspacer

This Mod for a Red Ryder, is a spring spacer that increases the fps (velocity) by about 100, so from 300 to 400.

Based on the spring, I think that up to a 450 mm spacer can be used, but this one is 300 mm and I think that is about the limit without exceeding the spring's modulus of elasticity.

I printed it out of ABS.

Place the spacer Rearward of the spring, with the spacers cupped end facing forward..

Also, I recommend putting the rubber plunger into a drill and sand the flashing off the corner edge with fine sand paper.

assembly is tricky because of the added spring tension, Have someone assist you in compressing the spring with a rod so that you can insert the steel tang.

In testing at 50 yds, my sighting was reduced by about 2/3 which is equal to about 1 foot vertical drop.

Lastly, expect the spring to break in and lose some strength in the first few shoots as it settles in.
