To improve thermal control of my 3D prints on difficult plastics, I moved my Prusa i3 MK3s into an enclosure. The enclosure dimensions was chosen to place the filament reel outside enclosure. I opted for a spooling solution where the filament reel rolls on edge rollers.

This design was inspired by the solution by TUSH on Thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2047554

You will need four 608 bearings per reel and four 3mm (5g x 10/12mm) screws. There are also mounting holes underneath to secure the reel spoolers to the top of the enclosure. The original design was press fit into the bearings, but that was not tight enough and would be disasterous if it came apart.

My print is made in PETG 1.75mm Aurarum silver filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 100% infill on a PRUSA I3 MK3S printer.

I hope you can find this print useful, too.
