We have a large Red Oscar fish that we normally hand feed Hikari Cichlid Gold large pellets. We wanted to be able to feed him (or her, not sure) when we are away from home, but didn't want food just dumping into the tank when he isn't hungry and then the food turns icky in the tank. We have a wifi camera we can watch remotely and needed a feeder that would feed one pellet at a time, to make sure he eats it before feeding another one. It also needed to fasten securely to the Aqueon 75 gallon aquarium. There wasn't anything available that met our needs/requirements so I designed and built one. It took quite a few iterations to feed the pellets without jambing. The electronics is programmed so when power is first applied it dispenses one pellet. By plugging the power supply into an Amazon Alexa Smart Basic 110v plug, cycling the power on then off remotely will trigger the feeder to dispense one pellet. The green button on the top will also cycle the feeder to dispense one pell
