(Hi! This is an attempt to publish for my son as he cannot seem to publish in his account, maybe due to age limit?)
I was trying to make a walking table model, but I ran into some difficulties while following the instructions (it could just be my printer settings, but I had to design new 3D parts for the contraption to work). I noticed that
1] The original pair of triangle couplets for the crank can easily get disconnected or not turn effectively. So I adjusted the crank couplets and crank to make the structure move more smoothly. I also used glue when I assembled the structure
2] I added a motor holding box, as I intended to connect TT motors to the strandbeest. The base is used to mount 2 TT motors. The lid has space to mount an L298N motor driver chip and an Wemos D1 mini chip (with the ESP8266 library used) for wireless control. There is also space for a 2xAAA battery pack.
3] The lid also has a front and back board with holes. This can be used to install guards on the side
