This is a replacement latch for the Milwaukee Packout drawers. To remove the broken factory latch I found it easiest to take all of the drawers out. Then there is a small screw under the top of the box in the center that you must remove. After the screw is removed I used a flat head screwdriver and popped two tabs on either side of this latch out and it allows the inner lid cover to be dropped enough to wiggle the latch out. Putting this one in is as simple as sliding it in and doing the reverse of the steps listed above. I decided to design this because I noticed a lot of them were breaking for people online and there weren't a lot of file options to choose from. I tried to make mine as close to the factory style as possible and even made the “tongue” a little bit thicker to hopefully reduce the chance of it breaking again. With the thicker “tongue” though I did notice that the bar is slightly harder to push in, but once it is in it stays in very snug and comes out easily once you
