I created a RepRack compatible shelving system that uses less filament, is faster to build, and doesn't require holes in your walls. This is fully compatible with the different add-ons created by the community for the RepRack system. Standard RepRack shelving uses 148g of filament per bracket and takes 4.5hrs to print, and requires 1 bracket per stud. For a 10 foot section of shelving you will need 8 brackets, which means 36 hours of print time and 1.2kg of filament. My solution uses 75g/bracket and takes 2hrs per bracket to print. For my shelves you will need 3 brackets for a 10 foot section (or 4 brackets for 2 x 5ft sections), meaning you'll use between 225 and 300g of filament and 6-8 hours of print time for the same amount of storage capacity. I recommend shelving spans up to 5ft. Any longer and the EMT conduit sags too much. Shelves longer than 10ft can be supported by adding extra legs at 5 foot intervals.
