Restaurant Belvedere

Former Belvedere on the Lousberg in Aachen. The first excursion restaurant on the Lousberg in Aachen burned down in 1836 and was rebuilt in 1838 in the form shown according to plans by Ark and Leydel. It was a popular restaurant and excursion pub until World War 2 and was completely destroyed during a bombing raid in 1944. Today, the rebuilt columns of the two balconies as the so-called "Aachen Acropolis" remind us of the former excursion pub.
The model was reconstructed on the basis of old plans and photographs and is designed for the scale H0 (1:87).
