Not to long ago, you only had a few choices in selection of a products, mainly color and sometimes material. The yo-yo is a perfect example of this, you had your classic and butterfly, as well as the few colors available on the shelf. Sure, you could buy them with fancy mechanics that made the yo-yo "do more" but you were still at limited to what the manufacture produced. With 3d printers, like the Ultimaker, you are only limited to what filament you have. If you have a cad program, you can make the shape you need. If you have the filament, you can make the color or material you want. If you use Cura for slicing, you can change the weight. That's huge. Never before has that been a option without complicated designs and extra parts. If you want a 25g yo-yo in the exact same shape, material, and color as your 60g yo-yo, you can do just that! This yo-yo was designed and tested with a 5mm dia. x 23mm length chrome plated axial. I have included an axial to make this yo-yo body fully printable but have not tested it. A raft is not recommended. This printed yo-yo does go up and down, "sleeps," and "walks the dog." Printed with: Cura-12.12A, Repetier-Host, PLA filament, and Printrbot Jr.
