I used the Cam Lock design from 58 webbing - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:879225 and did a bit of modifying.
1) I adjusted the curves to make it feed smoother.
2) I changed the cam to have a smooth section when turned 180 degrees. This helps in feeding the line in and in removing the line. All you need to do is rotate the cam and the line will slip out easily.
3) I designed it to have either 2 solid sides or 1 solid and 1 open side. Just substitute one of the cover plates.
4) I used 3mm perspex. The cam and cam plate are 2 pieces of 3mm super glued together. Alternatively you can use 6mm perspex for the centre.
5) I used clear perspex for the cover plates, it makes it easy to see the rope.
The bolts are 3x15mm with nylon lock nuts.
Have fun :)
