RF-505 Fire Dingo

The Fire Dingo was a lightweight and simple fighter designed in the core for export to the outer rim. It found only a few customers until the mercenary incursions caused half the star systems in the region to begin arming themselves with whatever weapons could be had.

The F-505 was mediocre from the start, having out of date sensors and being slightly undergunned. Once in the theatre, however, local ground crews tore out the outdated electronics and upgraded many of the 505s systems to more modern technology, often from other manufacturers. This made the quality of RF-505s uneven and thought of as unlucky by many pilots, but the need for starfighters drove them into service.
