This is a simple part-cooling fan bracket for the Renkforce RF100. It holds a 50mm fan and directs the air to the sides of the nozzle.
The fan is a 12V fan and is powered from the same feed as the extruder cooler.
!! Please be aware that to much cooling can negatively impact the adhesion of the first layer to the print bed. It would be a good idea to insert a switch in the fan power feed to disable the fan while printing the first layer. (As the RF100 was not designed to use a part-cooling fan there is no output on the controller board to connect and control it easily). !!
In my case i have a little PWM controller and a switch in the feed so i can control when and how fast the fan is spinning.
The fan holder is printed as one piece and is attached using the front mounting screw used for the extruder cover.
Best way to print it is to place the side with the round hole (where the fan mounts) flat on the bed. The overhangs etc. should print OK; The part was printed without
