RimTrimGal is a painting accessory that snaps onto the rim of a one gallon paint can. Its purpose is to provide a straight, sharp edge to wipe your brush against to remove excess paint. This protects the rim of the pail from filling with paint.
I'm not sure if all paint cans are created equal, but the one I used to model this thing is about 6 5/8" OD (168mm) x 5 1/2" ID (140mm) diameters and about 9/16" (14mm) across the rim.
To install this, hook the narrow end on the outside lip of the bucket and push it towards the center with both thumbs. It should snap into place. To remove it, pull up on the exterior lever. See the video (https://youtube.com/shorts/zqYF1Wdv1zA?feature=share).
Please note that the current files posted are a slight improvement over the original and feature tighter clearances and better gripping surface when removing it from the can. I will update the image gallery as soon as I can.
I printed this on its side with no support.
