I created a Ring 4 camera mount for my Ring doorbell after mounting it haphazardly to my siding. This ended up warping it slightly and just not allowing for a nice clean install. We also had issues with debris and whatever else ending up on top of the camera and leaving residue. I wanted to make something that would distribute the pressure more evenly and allow for a hood to be installed if desired. My mount varies a bit from some other offerings in that you put M3 nuts in the back and then use standard #8 deck screws to fix it to the siding. Not the screws with the ring. The ring screws are replaced with M3 SHCS fasteners to allow for the camera to be easily removable for service or whatever else. For us this means when the transformer comes in for charging the unit. The part of this install that might be challenging is installing the M3 nuts in the back. Two of the hexs are pretty deep. To avoid movement when you put the fasteners in the hole, I made some plugs that go over the top o
