The test mechanism is divided into three sections namely basic section, utility section, and the challenge section. The need for including 3 sections was felt as not only a good grip is essential for a mechanism to work but also what a mechanism can do with the lifted product. If the mechanism is unable to move the object in a desired way or can not hold it on application of basic forces and torques, then it would not be an ideal choice. the entire assembly not only takes care of various geometries but also various difficult surfaces and materials. the complete description of objects and why they are included can be found in the ppt/pdf file attached but a basic overview is as follows: basic section: sphere,cone,prism,perforated sheet,brush,glass,sponge utility section: pliers,screw driver,blades challenge section: tissue paper,ball bearings,duct tape
