I built a laundry closet and wanted to integrate a portable laundry basket system I was using to separate colours (yes I do that).
The portable system used very thin rods and had a mesh underneath to prevent the cloth bags from sagging; something that wasn't an option for this design as I intended to pull it out, like a drawer, for easy access.
This design uses thicker rods (13mm ID/16mm OD) that shouldn't bend under a heavy load (local Bunnings Hardware Store). The end cap allows you to slip on/attach rods to the drawer slide.
*Additional info*
End cap thread: M5 (incl. the 12 & 12.5mm ID versions).
M3 holes through the centre of the end cap to secure the rod (optional)
Drawer slide: side mounting - zinc plated - 125kg non-locking (I go through a lot of clothes :P)
