RodClamp

This is part of a lamp that uses 3/8" (9.6 mm) dowel rod as the armature that connects with the lamp head. I settled on this dowel because it's pretty inexpensive and sturdy enough to support a lightweight LED strip light (which will be coming soon). The hardware consists of a 25mm M5 Hex head bolt and matching wing nut to secure the dowel and a 2 1/2" (60 mm) x 1/4" (approx. 6 mm) thumbscrew and matching nut that secures the fitting to the edge of a table. Using the RodClampPad on the end of the thumbscrew, this clamp can handle table thicknesses of about 36-60 mm.
