RODE PSA1 Mic Stand Adapter

I have a Rode PSA1 boom arm. It is a great piece of gear. The only problem is that it has a clamping mechanism designed to be attached to a table or desk. I have a glass topped desk and so the clamp has always been a problem for me. I wanted to be able to attach it to one of the mic stands I already have.

This is designed to attach to the vertical sliding rod with the threaded end giving the Rode clamp something to grab onto. It works well enough. Though, there is now extra weight that the mic stand wasn't made to carry. I have to be careful that the tripod legs are pointed in the right direction.
