Room Venting Door Prop

This device allows your interior door to stand slightly open, allowing full, efficient flow of return air from the room. Unambitious pets like our adult cats can be excluded from passage into the room by the narrow gap. It hooks onto door hardware behind the knob or handle and lightly latches the door into position. It fits doors with a 2.375" knob offset and 34mm thick.
I've been wanting to develop this for years, and finally did! Originally I was going to put in a socket to allow a ¾" thick wooden board to be inserted and hang below in the gap to further deter pet intrusion.
Adjustments may be needed for different door and door hardware designs.
PLA has just enough give to allow my door secure latching but easy release.
