Rugged Jeep-Inspired Self-Locking Hitch Plug

This is my take on a self-locking trailer hitch plug, designed specifically with my Jeep friends in mind. After experimenting with integrated locking tabs that proved too brittle, I’ve refined this version for maximum durability and ease of use. Assembly & Printing: Construction: The faceplate is designed to be glued on using the pin for alignment. Material: I recommend PETG for long-term outdoor use. That said, my PLA prototype has survived a full year on the road—it’s held up structurally, though the color has faded slightly. I’ve included a blank faceplate STL so you can customize the design to fit your own style.
