"Runner" Intermeshing Helicopter UAV

This Helicopter UAV was developed for First Responder UAS Endurance Challenge, NIST USA (2020-2021) It has an AUW weight of 30 kg. The helicopter was built using commercial off the shelf components such as Align Trex 800 rotor head assembly, 800 blades, and servos. The autopilot was based on PX4. It is powered by a 100 cc 2 stroke IC engine and has a 6 liter onboard gasoline fuel capacity. A 2 stage custom built gear train ( 1st stage-timing belt & pulleys, 2nd stage-bevel gears) delivers the power from engine to rotors via a centrifugal clutch. The air-frame was built using 3.5 mm glass fiber sheets and aluminum landing gear.
