RUSTIC BARN HO SCALE

This RUSTIC BARN in HO scale (1/87th) is a large building and will take many hours to print. Print the foundation first, then the walls, false rafters, corrugated roof, doors and windows. The roof is made from .032"-.064" sheet styrene cut to size to save printing time. See photo for roof simple construction details. The corrugated shed roof is oversized to allow for trimming of the turn-around on the ends to keep a nice clean finish.

I exclusively print with PLA and have found that ordinary clear lacquer thinner (Nail polish remover) is a wonderful glue. Make a small test for yourself of two pieces of scrap PLA and give it a try. Let sit for 20 seconds and then try to break it apart. It leaves no residue and is applied with a small brush. I've been using lacquer thinner as a glue on stryene and PLA for years. No sloppy or messy glue to show when finished.
