18 foot solar boat based on Hobie 18 hulls with plywood structure. Uses two EP Carry (R) outboard/battery systems and 6-100W solar panels. Predict 7 knots top speed and 5 knots cruise for 50 nm a day on solar power alone. Predictions based on a numerical model that has been proven predictive for boats from 14 ft to 40 ft.
