Up and down motion of the sealing cap is done by rotating the handle which in turn rotates the cam attached to the sealing cap. The sealing cap rotates with handle as it is attached to the main handle shaft and also goes up and down according to mating of cam profiles. Sealing cap can be secured in any position (OPEN / CLOSE or in between) by rotating the small extension of handle locking cam which is mounted on the main handle itself. As the extension is pulled down the locking cam presses against the surface of the vent bottom casing and thus locking the handle in its position. Please note that it is similar to that of quick clamping cam operated fixtures.
