I have an old Saitek Cyborg Evo Force joystick that's probably over 10 years old now that happens to be my favorite gaming stick. As a lefty its perfect for me since it can be configured left or right handed, however the force feedback is what I like the most about it. Well, I moved last year and the trigger was broken during the move. I could not locate another stick or trigger anywhere let alone a force feedback stick, so I decided to use Fusion 360 and model a replacement trigger myself. (Thanks to Lars Christensen for his exceptionally informative Fusion 360 videos)
First I tried to print this as a single whole lying on it's side. Although the resulting print was functional, the over-hang areas after the supports were removed looked awful, lots of curves and some arches to deal with during the print. So I used Meshmixer to do a plane split and printed it in halves (pictured), super glued the halves together and I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
