Satellite

Cylindrical Satellite model with basic subsystem components. This CAD model of a satellite designed by 5 member group including me for Aerospace Vehicle Design course at IIST. The objective of spacecraft is to deflect an Near Earth Asteroid 99942 Apophis by gravity tractor method to avoid hypothetical situation of it colliding with mother Earth. The outer primary structure was designed by taking LV's flight load envelope into consideration. Propellant (MMH, N2O4 and Xe for Ion Engine NSTAR) and Helium tanks (for pressure fed liquid engine), main engine, solar arrays in the model are of actual dimension (outer dimensions only) which were required for mission. This model is just representational, not every required component is made and assembled because of time limitation, fatigue of work (and laziness of course).
