Save-A-Cop

My idea it to create a safer working environment for police officers during a traffic stop. The drone would be the first to interact with the person being pulled over. The drone would have vision and audio systems to be able to communicate with the individuals being pulled over. The drone will be able to carry back the individuals ID and insurance card. The drone could also do a quick visual inspection of the vehicle to make sure there is nothing in the car that could harm the police officer. Once, the drone comes back to the cruiser, the police officer would be able to make a decision if the vehicle is safe to approach. Since, the drone will be able to carry back the individuals ID and insurance card, the police officer would be able to tell if the suspect has a warrant, criminal history, or etc. This procedure/drone should save many police officers lives by allowing the police officer to studying the individual’s vehicle from the safety of his/her cruiser. The bin is 3D printed in to two separate parts, the cover and base. The base is anchored to the drone via screws and the cover is attached via snap fittings. Since the landing gear is removed from the drone to accommodate bin accessory, a rear landing gear apparatus is added to stabilize the landing on the individual’s window. All three piece could be made from ABS or nylon.
