Scale model of leveling machine.

A leveler removes various flatness defects from the material. Flatness defects, therefore, range from observable defects, such as: wavy edge, leaf spring, center buckle, quarter buckle; or they may be unobservable defects that do not appear until cutting, burning, or processing the material. These defects are due to internal residual stress misalignment inherent in manufacturing. In this case, a leveler for carbon steel was taken as a model. This material usually comes from carbon steel coils of different thicknesses, in addition to leveling the material, a complete leveling line has shears to cut the steel sheet to be processed into different lengths.

This model performs all the movements of a real leveler. Except for the control for each motor.

Materials

M3X15, M3X40, M3X10 screws, nuts and contact glue (Loctite) are used.
