Screen Installation Clip

This clip is used to hold screening in place when trying to install the spline. This version works with flat spline applications such as most screen porches or pool enclosures.

To use it first push the screening into the channel and then insert the clip by tilting the leg with the longer prong into the aluminum channel on the side facing the screen opening. Tilt it up to slip in the other leg with the shorter prong. Turn the knob 90 degrees to hold the screen in place. Use multiples of these clips to mount the screen before splining.

The clip can be printed in-place with the knob facing upwards. After printing turn the knob back and forth to free it up. Add a drop of light oil to make the knob move more easily. Keep moving it until the “squeak” goes away.
