A (relatively) simple system I use to sort my socket head cap screws.
It's simple to pull out the box I want for easy access. As well there is an indent in the lid the screw fits perfectly into, making finding the exact size of a screw trivial while sorting back into the boxes.
Each box has 3 3D printed parts (a lid, a latch and a box), two springs (light force and it needs to fit over a 3mm shaft) and 3 M3 screws to hold everything together.
After printing the parts, you will need to use an M3 tap in the 3 holes in the lid. One of the springs can be threaded into the latch and the latch attached to the lid with a screw, angling the spring to force the latch closed (there is a hole in the lid for the spring to slide into). The lid can then be attached to the box with two more screws and there is a gap on one side for the second spring to hold the lid open.
While making this I had trouble with some of the parts curling while printing, so I added tabs the the corners which are to
