This is a simple conical tamper designed to push torn-out material back into screw holes before painting. Using the back of a screwdriver works fine on larger holes, but on smaller holes, it doesn’t really get in deep enough and painting those spots can still show through as slight dimples or rough patches. The conical shape works from the smallest nail holes to large lag screw holes. This tool is meant to properly compact and reform the torn material inside the hole so the filler sits on a solid base and finishes smoother. This just fits into smaller holes better and lets you press that torn material back down so you’re not filling over fluff. Push the tool in, rotate till the damage is nicely pushed back into the hole. Let dry Sand Paint Print this when your printer’s sitting idle or you’ve got a bit of leftover filament. It takes almost nothing to make, and you’ll be glad it’s in your toolbox next time you’re doing paint prep round the house.
