## Why?
Why would one create a bolt without any screw-thread?
Well, I had printed some online 3D design that still needed real bolts. Now, lazy and greedy as I am I did not want to buy bolts (or find them in our tool shed). Bolts can be printed, but the screw-thread was a problem, even if it would print somewhat, it wouldn't be strong. So I came up with an idea. I would create bolts without screw-thread. Then I would secure the bolts with a drilling machine, quickly rotating the screw. The friction would heat-up the plastic, effectively welding the two materials together. This while maintaining what looks like a bolt to the outside.
I have not tested this yet, but I do think it will work.
## What bolts
I made the design in OpenScad, meaning it is fully parametrised. For the options, see the pictures.
## What about the nuts
I got u. I made a toggle that creates the corrosponding nut.
