SCTouch(TM)
1. No force required
2. No “bellying” in the middle due to rod flex
3. I have been as cost effective as I could
4. You will need to cut the leg off the 3mm Allen/hex key “probe” with a Dremel or hacksaw
5. Designed to drop in any inductive/capacitance probe mount!
Note: I was too lazy to implement a solenoid to retract/deploy the probe as the ROI was not making much sense to me
Yu can get the time square magnets from an old CD or DVD drive.
Probing is done VERY infrequently (MAX once per print) so deploying by hand is no biggie.
If there is interest I’ll update with a non-manual solution.
