Self-Aligning Spool Holders (FlashForge Creator Pro)

These are designed to fit the FlashForge Creator Pro 3D printer.

I've had issues with other spool holder designs: the filament would sometimes fall off the spool as the edge of the roll was offset from the entrance to the filament tube (Boden tube). This is because the edge of the spool could never get close to the rear of the printer.

My design tilts the spools toward the Boden tube. This helps prevent the filament from popping off the spool and wrapping itself around the spool holder.

The holders have a 25mm diameter, so any spool with a center hole bigger than that will work. The tube is 90mm long and should safely work for reels as wide as 88mm.

Since the design has the reels tilted, gravity keeps the reels "hugging" the back of the printer. No secondary retention is needed to keep the spools from sliding off.
