Self Centering Joy Stick

What we have here is a Self Centering Joy stick. It's designed to be tall enough for most hands to wrap around.

I designed this because one of my friends just got a cast removed for a broken wrist and has limited freedom of movement in his hand. I thought this would be a good thing to help them judge their recovery progress.

In order to assemble this you'll need some small elastics (fit until you feel tension is good). and 4/8 zip ties (or some m3 nuts and bolts) to tie the elastics down from the joystick to the base. The elastics on all 4 sides will provide resistance and self centering.

Overall this joystick is pretty compact with a base that is about 6x6cm and about 16cm tall. It could probably be modified to be used as an actual joystick controller.
