This is just a very basic and scaled down visual model of a self powered vertical farm I had an idea for. The stack of white cylinders at the center of the building are supposed to represent VAWT's (Vertical Axis Wind Turbines). The building is designed in such a way that the wings of the building itself funnel wind in to the stack of wind turbines. This alone should be enough to power most (if not all) of the building.... Other potential sources of power include methane from composted unused plant matter. CO2 from burning methane goes back into the building for other plants to breathe. Also algae can be grown for biofuel among other things. I just love the idea of integrating sustainable (green) technologies into the realm of modern businesses. Plus farms have remained relatively the same for almost all of human history. It's about time for an update.
