This model is for a set of self-rescue ice spikes or ice claws and is designed to include magnets and spikes in the printing process.I used 10mm x 3mm magnets, and a standard 4" 20D nail. I got a box of magnets from Amazon, and the nails can be found anywhere nails are sold. Print the supports in PLA and the handles in PETG HF for best results. This will ensure that the supports don't impact the surface on the bottom of the handle. The custom support holds the model off your build plate enough to allow insertion of the 4" nail toward the end of the print. There are two pause points in the print. The first is when you insert the magnets. 2 magnets go into the larger holes in the model. If you're using a steel print head, you must also add a magnet underneath the model in the provided notches in the support.
