Semi-printed document tray

This is my design of a semi-printed document tray.
Semi-printed means that the sidepieces are 3D printed, while the plates are differently sourced.

The design is specialized for my use case. I had two glass plates from old document scanners. The dimensions of these plates were circa 340mm x 245mm x 3mm.

The assembled object is not very high, since I wanted to put my notebook (already on a triangular stand) on top of it in order to align the screen of the the notebook with my secondary screen. You can get the dimensions from the drawings.

However, A4 documents can be put into and on-top of this assembly.

Assembly:
Simply print two sidepieces, put one or two plates (wood, glass, metal and so on) with a thickness of 3,5mm or less between them and fix their position. I think you could drill holes or use glue (careful when choosing the glue) to fix the plates in place.

I used transparent silicone (maybe 2 $/€ per cartridge) to fix the glass plates in the sidepieces.
