Sensor Pod Battery Clip

This is a custom clip for the Sensor Pod (device is capable of running off batteries for two years, sampling multiple 1-Wire sensors, in addition to 6 independent digital inputs, and 6 independent analog inputs. it operates in co-ordination with a gateway device which provides internet capability via a local LAN.

The problem with the current design is the use of the PCB mounted battery terminals, they flex easily, so if the sensor is dropped the batteries separate (usually damaging the battery terminals at the same time. Also the design as you can see the above pictures has great separation between the terminals, until you add the batteries, at which point you have maybe 2 mm or less between the adjacent battery terminals.

I wanted a simple clip that would hold the batteries in place,should the unit be dropped, and to maintain an air gap between the two batteries to ensure the clips don't short.
